The setting is undeniably exceptional, and the atmosphere is very calm; the hostess is pleasant and attentive, and the room is clean and spacious. The furnishings feel somewhat dated, and while I understand they need funds to maintain this special building, I think the price is too high for the service—especially for the dinner we had on a Sunday night when options were limited; we paid almost €100 for two, yet the kitchen was very basic, even though the setting was outstanding.

The hunting lodge is a dream. We felt very comfortable. The whole place exudes a calm that immediately takes hold. It’s simply beautiful. The history of the castle is very interesting and impressive. The lady of the house and her husband are very nice and always open to conversation. The rooms are lovely to look at and designed for comfort. We can only recommend it. By the way, the starry sky far from any big city is very clear.

The castle itself was imposing. The rooms were typical or matched the other ambience. The park was overall very nice. The outdoor areas were in poor condition. The bed linen had holes, even though it was clean. The bathroom was not very appealing due to dead beetles and mosquitoes or living mosquitoes. The access road to the castle on the property was littered with potholes, and many buildings on the property looked almost derelict, having been unused and unmaintained for years. The price‑performance ratio unfortunately does not match.

The vibe was amazing, like stepping back in time, surrounded by a gorgeous park with huge old trees that kept everything super quiet, though it was a little far from the nearest village.
