The rooms were simple with bunk beds, a lockable wardrobe, and a single shower for up to eight people. It was in the Schanzenviertel, right across from a recommended cinema. It was quiet and all guests were considerate. At check‑in we received a welcome drink, and the value for money was excellent.

The spot is nice, but the rooms feel cramped and the mattress is a bit thin.

The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable and clean, and the bathroom and shower were also large and tidy. I didn’t like how inflexible they were with check‑in times, even for just 30 minutes. Transport was inefficient, especially since the city was undergoing a lot of renovation and DB delays.

The atmosphere was very intimate and friendly, a real hostel vibe, with plenty of chances to meet people and make friends.

We were two Spanish guys and the vibe was great, especially chatting with an Argentine guy; we’ll definitely come back to St Pauli.
