“Traumhafter Urlaub in den Bergen.”

The Auen Hütte is a great place right next to the Ifen cable car (which unfortunately only goes to the middle station in summer); the rooms are lovingly and individually furnished and blend well with the mountain scenery, the staff are super friendly and always helpful, we even used the “Denkboden” under the roof for daily yoga, and Tuesdays are Spätzle‑day with great spätzle that require a reservation—overall we loved it and will definitely return. The downside is that the 5 bus only runs to the Ifen station until 18:10, so if you need to return later you’ll have to take a taxi from Riezlern or bring your car.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome as a solo traveler; the hotel is aesthetically pleasing with a modern look, lots of wood, and large windows, the half‑board meals were plentiful and delicious, and check‑in and check‑out were quick and hassle‑free, with no complaints.

I stayed in an old house that had been beautifully renovated with lots of wood. The atmosphere was great and the food was very good.
