The hotel is in a good spot and the staff are helpful, even speaking Hungarian. The roof terrace is accessed by a narrow staircase that’s hard to navigate if you’re older.

Hotel Perula & SPA, located in Istanbul's Old City, Sultanahmet, is 750 meters from the Grand Bazaar. The hotel is surrounded by historic landmarks, including Topkapi Palace and Hagia Sophia, a 2-minute walk away. Elegant rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows, wooden furniture, and complimentary Turkish delight upon check-in. A Turkish buffet breakfast and a-la-carte meals are served, with a Turkish hammam and massage services available.

The location is spot on, surrounded by lively shops, bars, the Blue Mosque, the hippodrome, the Grand Bazaar, and a tram line for walking. The staff are very friendly. The breakfast was lacking—no peppers, cucumbers, or olives, and we missed some pastries. The room was tiny; our luggage had to be spread out in the middle of the room and didn’t fit in the small wardrobe. The bathroom was cramped, with broken tiles, a broken towel rack, and overall poor maintenance.

Excellent location and great staff, but the room is very small and breakfast could use improvement.

A really nice hotel in the heart of the old town, just a stone’s throw from the Blue Mosque. The compact, modern building has friendly staff and decent breakfast, though I wish there were more TV channel options.

The hotel sits close to the main tourist spots, but the staff were utterly lacking in empathy and hospitality. At 10:30 PM I called reception for a bottle of water and was told to buy it at the market, with no offer to provide it even on a paid basis. This kind of response is unheard of anywhere else and left a very bad impression of the country.
