“Redelijke kamer in prachtig hotel op prima locatie”

A warm welcome, a solid restaurant, and a great spot. Coffee and tea were on the room. The rain shower was lovely, though it was a light drizzle instead of a downpour. The restaurant itself was beautiful and the affogato after dinner was a treat! A parking garage is just around the corner, but the entrance is for pedestrians on the other side of the block. In room 130, no window could be opened for fresh air, the lighting was dim making the room a bit gloomy, a thick layer of dust covered the wardrobe, the metal tray used as a nightstand had a sharp edge and made noise if you bumped into it, and the room couldn't be reached by tap—only via the lift.

The hotel is gorgeous and sits in a fantastic location. Breakfast was excellent and there’s a lovely courtyard for an evening drink. Definitely a must-visit!

The room was very nice with comfortable beds, and despite the central location it was surprisingly quiet. Breakfast was also great, especially the charming atmosphere in the old post office building. It was handy that you could rent a bike, and I appreciated that cash payment was still accepted—rare in the Netherlands. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I liked that you could opt out of room cleaning for sustainability reasons (“plant a tree for free”). The TV selection was a downside: only a few German channels, and those were the ones with the most ads. The surroundings were often a bit crowded and busy, and cyclists almost ran over me (though the hotel can’t be blamed for that).
