The water heater in the room wasn’t working, so we had to shower in the next room. Later, another guest used that room, forcing us to change rooms again.

Everything was perfect, especially the vicinity and the property spread. The only downside was that the Mountain View room is a scam; only two rooms actually have direct Kanchenjunga views.

The place is gorgeous and has a farm feel. It was very cold, so we hired a heater each night. It offers excellent value for money with stunning mountain views. There were many power shortages, it’s a bit outlying, and the road there is bad.

The accommodation is well‑furnished and well‑located, with a terrace that offers a mountain view. The only problem was that payment by Visa card wasn’t possible (the website had suggested it was), so bring cash in advance or withdraw money in Pelling.

The Manager and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is good if you want to stay away from the busy Pelling city, and the food tastes nice. The property needs maintenance: one window glass was broken, letting cold air in; the taps were leaking, so there was no water at night. The Manager gave me a bucket of water, but the taps are still broken. Serious maintenance is needed soon, and the place isn’t worth the money I paid.
