“Isolated. Lonely. Pretty.”
It’s located in a very pretty village and the room is very attractive. The property was completely empty when I arrived around 4 pm; no staff were there to greet me. I couldn’t reach the listed phone number because I didn’t know the Spanish code. A local lady, who didn’t speak English and I didn’t speak enough Spanish, called the owner who came quickly. The closest restaurant was 3 km away, so she kindly brought stale bread, meat, cheese, and fruit for €15 – the same as breakfast. For 3 € she brought me a coffee machine I didn’t know how to use. There were no towels; she left immediately so I couldn’t ask for them. Breakfast was left for me at 7:30 as requested, but she didn’t greet me in the morning. I was the only guest staying. She tried to be helpful but didn’t spend enough time with her guests. It would be fine for a Spanish couple with a car or a group, but terrible for a solo English traveller.
