The hotel claims to be five‑star, but it looks like it hasn't been renovated since it was built; everything feels old, shabby, and uncomfortable.

The staff were friendly, and everything else in Kolkata was fine.

The housekeeping team was great, but the toilet in the bathroom was broken and leaked every time we flushed, which was gross, and the food was overpriced and tasteless.
