The onsen hotel is large and located just outside Semboku. The western‑style room we booked was spacious and spotless, the onsen facilities were decent, and the countryside setting was nice. It’s a good base for exploring Lake Tazawa and the Semboku area. We didn’t get any towels in the room—probably an oversight—and the language barrier made it hard to ask for what we needed. The bathroom was pretty small. We stayed only one night, so there weren’t major issues.
