“NOT a place to stay if you have someone with special needs.”
The staff were not friendly. The main hotel door was closed, so you had to go to the bar to access the hotel entrance. My autistic son was curious and tried to look inside the bar; despite telling the staff he was autistic and harmless, they pushed him back, raised their voices, and no one was allowed inside the bar, only to sit on the chair in front of it. Because my son was uncomfortable with how the staff treated him, we couldn’t sleep; he refused to stay there, and we had no alternative accommodation available.
“Homely lovely pub”
The owner was lovely, and there was nothing else to note.
“Enjoyable”
The location was superb and very close to the highway, but the shared washrooms were quiet and old.
“Close to drive to the snow for a budget price.”
I found a cheap spot to drive to the snow, much cheaper than what I’d found in Cooma, and the heater kept the room cozy and warm.
“Not pleasant needs a major refurb in accomodation side”
The location worked for us, but the beds were the most uncomfortable thing I’ve ever slept on—springs poking out of the mattresses and the beds weren’t even clean, with bits of fluff and other debris in them.
