“Estadia em Vila Verde, Sintra de pouca qualidade”

The location is very accessible and parking is free. Check‑in and check‑out were smooth and easy, but everything was handled by email with no face‑to‑face interaction. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The main door lacks security; you have to be careful to close it properly, and most people seem to leave it open. The room was stuffy and poorly ventilated because everything was shut. Cleaning was ineffective. The private bathroom in the room had no hot water, so we had to use the shared toilet. There was no sign or identification of the accommodation outside, and the surrounding areas looked abandoned.

I liked the location, a little over three km from Sintra, and it was easy to reach the owners via WhatsApp. The problem is that the house looks decent outside but is quite shabby inside. The floor is uneven, the doors feel like something out of a 1960s movie, old and some even have rotten wood. In the room I stayed, the bed sagged and the pillows were low. The shower had mold and some outlets were loose. All in all, it’s better to avoid this place; it needs a serious renovation because the décor is very cheap and the furniture is old.

The hot water was good, the room was comfortable and clean. However, there was no reception staff and I couldn’t get in touch with anyone to receive the key, only a maintenance worker handed it to me. The room was a bit warm and a few flies were present. Still, it was acceptable and good value for the price.
