Gasthaus Schiff

“10 out of 10. It does not get any better than this.”

Beautiful guesthouse set in lovely surroundings. Everything inside is wood, wonderfully decorated. The room and bathroom are huge and were recently renovated. I could have stayed there! The bar is very nice and the restaurant is truly superb – I had an excellent dinner. The staff were great. I plan to return with my husband. I recommend it to everyone. 10 out of 10. It doesn’t get better than this.

“Freiburg ländlich”

The breakfast was hearty and the staff were very friendly. It’s a bit further out, but you can get there easily by tram or city bikes. From Wednesday to Sunday there’s a kitchen and a beer garden, and sometimes live music in the basement, though it doesn’t bother the rooms. There are hiking trails and other traditional inns right nearby. The only downside for me was the street noise, so I kept the window shut. Otherwise nothing negative to mention!

The staff were welcoming, the room was tidy and the bed was comfortable. It was a solid choice for a stopover on our road trip to Italy.

“Great hotel with good breakfast, kind staff and nice athosphere.”

Breakfast was excellent. The staff were very kind and helpful. The building looks stylish and the hotel has a nice atmosphere. However, there was some dust on the shelves or under the bed. That should be fixed, because otherwise the hotel is great, so it’s a pity to lose on something that can be easily solved.

“Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.”

We were a group of nine travelers and were very satisfied. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were nice, and we enjoyed a pleasant walk into the city center. We had three triple‑bed rooms; the third bed was not ideal for adults.
