“It was not comfortable to use nearly broken items, talking loud outside in the midnight and smell of marijuana & cig”
A bunch of people were loud in the courtyard, smoking weed past midnight, and the odor drifted into the rooms through the ventilation. Several guests complained to the front desk, but no action was taken until a few reports later the rooms were moved to the fourth floor, where a strong cigarette smell persisted despite the hotel’s non‑smoking rule. The location is fine and the hotel is close to the shopping center, but the room we got was unacceptable because the TV shelf leaned forward and the light stand was almost sliding down. We called the front desk, a maintenance person came to inspect, and he said the TV was already nailed to the shelf so it wouldn’t fall, and the nightstand would stay as is. He explained that fixing the light stand would need heavy equipment and a lot of time, so he wouldn’t do it then. Why wasn’t the light stand nailed to the shelf like the TV if it needed fixing?
