“New, clean, quiet, comfortable. Loved it.”

Such a beautiful place to stay! Hard to find on Maps but once we arrived, we loved it! The place is very new and very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is very well set up. We loved the large communal spaces. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. It was nice to sleep on a futon on a warm autumn night, in the mountains, with the window wide open. Very peaceful place. We drove the 1 hour 10 minutes to Mount Tsurigi. Make sure to visit the temple, just two minute walk from the accommodation. Just a little hard to find!

Hayashi welcomed us warmly into his guesthouse. Everything is brand new and the location is beautiful. The wooden floor is very pleasant and we had free access to hot drinks and very good teas. Using a translation app to chat was no problem, we exchanged a lot and it was a pleasure. Hayashi cooked roasted sweet potatoes for us and gave us two bottles of sake that we shared with him; he is truly happy to share his culture and knowledge. Thank you again for everything, I will keep a very good memory of our stay and we will surely come back for Mount Tsurugi!

No need to be careful, we could relax, and we had a fun chat with the owner. It would have been nice to have food.

“Lugar tranquilo y acogedor”

It’s a two‑story house where the upper floor has several bedrooms and bathrooms. The ground floor contains the service room, a very well equipped kitchen, other bathrooms, a shower, and a common lounge area where they offer free tea and coffee. The perception is that the house is actually much better than what the photos show. It’s very cozy, well equipped with quality products, and the staff’s attention is very close. For us it wasn’t a problem because we were alone in the whole house, but there is only one shower. I imagine that when all the bedrooms are full, it will be a matter of organizing. The location is quite remote; you absolutely need a car.
