“We had Nice Stay but time was not enough”

Room, food, and staff were all good. There was nothing I didn’t like.

“Average stay made better by beautiful view of the lake from bedroom.”

The lakeside room offered lovely views and the décor was nice, but the catering was mediocre. At the Brasserie, the waitress forgot our starters, and the main course was almost inedible; we weren’t charged for it. The hotel was noisy because it was very busy, so it took a long time for things to settle at night.

“False Advertising”

The property is conveniently located near the highway for regional travel. The website depicts a beautiful, luxurious lakeside retreat, but in reality it feels like an expensive conference lodge that prioritises revenue over guests. The room’s environmental claims are pointless when the lakeside itself is neglected; a local resident with garden tools tried to keep the area tidy without any support from the staff. Water bottles cost a premium at the shop, and the breakfast area was chaotic with insufficient staff, forcing us to clean a table each morning. It comes across as a cold, profit‑driven organisation.

The breakfast was fantastic with plenty of fruit, yogurt, and a great gin selection—though a bit pricey. Customer service was good and the spa was lovely, but the lack of dressing gowns was a shame. The pool water was very cold. Fish and chips were offered, but there was little fish, mostly batter. The rooms were okay but quite basic, more like a conference setting.

“Its good as ..... we will be back”

Almost perfect, though the bacon was a bit dried; still I enjoyed it. The rooms were comfortable, the breakfast bar was handy, the pool was excellent, and our spaniel George loved it.
