The location was very good because everything was close. However, the building is very old and poorly maintained. The staff barely spoke and only said a quick hello. They also let me check in earlier than scheduled without extra charge after I had already requested it via booking, and the address of the accommodation was wrong in the booking; when I pointed it out, I was sent a message with the correct address. The photos on booking were taken with a wide‑angle lens, which distorts the real look of the room, which was very small; there was no fridge, though I didn’t notice that. The floor was covered with synthetic wallpaper, and inside the room there was a ceiling fan that didn’t work, even though there was air conditioning; I don’t know why it’s there, it’s probably museum‑worthy.

“Not Old Town moder studio 6”

I booked a place in the centre of Rethymno, but ended up in a room called Olga's instead of the advertised Old Town Modern Studio 6, which looked nothing like the photos on Booking. The room was very old and cramped, lacked a fridge, had a nasty staircase, no balcony, and only a rusty broken window.

The location was good, but the reception was disappointing, the apartment was dirty and in disrepair, with torn plinths, peeling wallpaper, stained curtains, a rusty and grimy bathroom mirror, a loose toilet seat, and significant noise from the street (photos available).

The place was well situated, but there was no internet even though Wi‑Fi was advertised.

The accommodation was in the Old Town of Rethymno, which was the only good thing, and the address was wrong – it’s Souliou 55, not Souliou 2. There were no amenities, a shared kitchen, no fridge in the room, only one small bottle of water for two people; the whole setup feels very outdated. You have to climb a few stairs (though fewer on the way down) to get to the room, it’s cramped and somewhat neglected, and I wouldn’t recommend it at €67 per day.
