The host was very friendly and helped me check in earlier, but the place was absolutely filthy—moldy plates on the floor and a lot of other grime. The toilet wouldn’t flush, so I had to use a bucket.

It was cheap and getting to the bus station “Gelsenkirchen im Sundern” via buses 380 and 381 was fine. However, everything was extremely dirty: the bed sheet and blanket cover looked like they’d never been washed, the toilet had no water tank and I had to pour water from a bucket after every use, while other guests didn’t bother. The microwave, oven, and water boiler were all covered in old grease, the floor was grimy everywhere—including the bathroom, corridor, and bedroom—there was no shower handle holder, and the tiny fridge was dirty inside and smelled of fungi; I had to wipe it clean, but it still froze everything inside.
