Quiet yet still central, close to the city center and the spa, with short walks. The restaurant is highly recommended! The bed is a bit of an adjustment, but that's a personal preference.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Pension Zum Heidewanderer. We stayed in the Swuite Engel, a large living and bedroom area with a kitchen, bathroom, and spacious balcony—just fantastic. Breakfast was good and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was very relaxed and you can feel the staff enjoy working here. The location is ideal, only a few minutes' walk to the center or the Jod‑Sole Therme.

Quietly located, within walking distance to the spa park. However, the spa facilities themselves are a fair distance away, not something I'd just leave my bathrobe at. We didn't walk into the city center either. The breakfast buffet was generous, though the cold cuts were served individually at each table, which was a bit odd but more than enough. The room was on the ground floor; everyone passing by the terrace door was heading to the main entrance. The room was also relatively small, apparently a smaller version than usual due to the construction style. The curse of a single night? In any case, we found it too cramped for a longer stay. The entire complex spans three buildings, one of which was just renovated, so the reception didn't feel very welcoming; we had to call and were then guided the last few meters.
