The central spot right on the market square in Ahrweiler is great. The rooms are spacious and very clean, the beds are comfortable, and the staff are super friendly. Breakfast is excellent; we didn’t miss anything, and the on‑site restaurant served us well.

We appreciated the friendly staff, the well‑equipped rooms and the breakfast, but nobody mentioned the wine festival happening right at the hotel either when we booked or at check‑in, and the live‑music stage was directly under our window, so we couldn’t fall asleep until the music stopped at 1 a.m.; luckily we joined the celebration, which made the noise bearable.

Breakfast was good, but the house is extremely sound‑prone. Worse was the shooting festival right under the window on the market square, with brass bands playing until 2 am, drunken, shouting crowds. In the two nights we stayed, we barely slept. They could have told us about this during booking. Paying €150 per night felt like a waste. It’s a shame, but I won’t book here again.

The location is superb, right on the market square, and breakfast is very good. No complaints.
