The spot sits right on the seawall overlooking the ocean, and Angelina, the host, is genuinely friendly. You can walk to restaurants in the downtown beach area, but remember the place is only reachable by a walkway, so pack your luggage accordingly.

The location was very good, and the host was nice, though a bit disorganized. The bed squeaked loudly with every movement; when one of us turned over, the other almost woke up. There was a lot of mold in the shower that could have been wiped away easily during a cleaning. The mirror was also very dirty, and overall the room had a strange odor.

The house was close to the beach, but the rooms were dirty, the previous guest’s linens hadn’t been changed, the toilets were full, and there was no toilet paper or soap. The photos in the listing did not match the actual place. The worst part was being double‑charged on my card and on Yape, and after 20 days I still haven’t received a refund of over $100; nobody takes responsibility.

The place feels very quiet, like a private beach with sea lions around. The water is a bit cold but clean. The shared kitchen had everything you could need, and the room itself was spacious and comfortable. We walked to Naplo, which is cleaner than Pucusana. The beds were large and comfy. The only downside was that it was the last accommodation and you have to walk a bit further, but it’s worth it for the peace. The bathroom was uncomfortable, and we didn’t have access to the terrace.

The only thing I liked was the location. All the room’s facilities and everything else were not clean; we found many items under the bed that seemed to belong to previous guests, and the covers and sheets were stained, with white color and hair everywhere, even dead cockroaches and spider webs. The place is pretty but needs a lot of cleaning. The bathroom was too small and dirty, with spiders everywhere, and the payment we made wasn’t worth it. I couldn’t sleep well, afraid a bug might appear, and there was even used paper in the bathroom. It was a total disappointment; I arrived with other expectations and it let me down a lot. 😡
