“Relaxed stay in fabulous house in the beautiful Serra da Estrela area”
The house’s location is ideal for mountain exploration; the scenery gets better with every turn on the winding roads. There are excellent walking routes from nearby villages and scenic spots. Luis and his team run the house flawlessly, and the breakfasts are delicious and set you up perfectly for the day.
An outstanding place where refinement and elegance prevail. The cleanliness is exquisite, every detail is polished, and the 5‑star breakfast at Napoes Relais & Châteaux is rich, plentiful, and varied, prepared with care. The host is a truly great man. I gave it 10 because I can’t go higher, which is a pity.
Breakfast was delicious, the bedrooms were very nice and spacious, and the dog was lovely. Seia isn’t particularly beautiful, but the Museu do Pão is worth visiting, and for families the Museu do Brinquedo (Europe’s oldest) is recommended. You’ll need a car to eat, as there’s almost nothing in the village. The pool is small, and the use of artificial grass in such a historic setting is hard to understand. A bar featuring local products, with and without alcohol, and wine‑tasting tips would have been nice, considering the region. The river beaches suggested by Luís were fantastic!
