The location was decent and there was a small gym; after checking out on the last afternoon they even let me use the shower on the second floor, but the room was cramped and breakfast cost extra without any prior warning.

I experienced something odd yet oddly satisfying at this hotel: the TV barely worked with only one channel, breakfast sometimes served cold fries and sausages and a sandwich that seemed a day old, there were power cuts, and they tried to charge me 11 euros (about 50 000 Ugandan shillings) for a makeup stain on the bed linen—a fee not listed in their policy, which left me very annoyed. On the plus side, the hotel sits in a great spot surrounded by shops and close to the city centre; the final breakfast before I left was excellent with potatoes, chapati, juicy sausages and tomato sauce. The property was spotless, the rooms were clean, housekeeping came almost daily, and the staff were very welcoming.

I reached out to the property two days before to confirm check‑in time but got no reply. When I arrived, I was wrongly told there was no reservation and the hotel was fully booked, even though I had the confirmation. The shower in the room was broken—only cold water came out—so I had to stop showering, get dressed, and go to the front desk to report it, only to be left waiting for an hour. The replacement room’s shower was scaldingly hot—almost enough to burn—and only hot water came out, making it unusable. I stayed in that room and returned the next day. I accidentally left two face creams behind, but the cleaning staff threw them away without permission; they were worth over $100. I was feeling unwell and wanted to rest in my room. While I was in the first room, two men entered to repair the shower; I was resting on the bed and had to wait while they worked. The room was infested with mosquitoes, and I was bitten in at least 15 places. I couldn’t sleep in either room. There was nowhere nearby to buy water or food, no apology was offered, and the staff were incompetent.

The spot was perfect for getting around Kampala, especially if you want to stay near the CBD; the room was spotlessly clean and the room service was great. The TV was tiny and offered no entertainment options, the room didn't include any refreshments but the staff were ready to help, and the shower head could use a repair 😊

Thanks to the receptionist and the waitress for their friendly help; the hotel’s location was fine for me because it’s near Kampala suburbs and close to the city centre. The security stopped me from entering with my water bottle, which was frustrating – I had just bought it and they took it; the room TVs also weren’t working well, though other issues were fixed at some point.
