We loved the stay – the owners were warm and hospitable, the rooms were cozy, and the breakfast was delicious. The pool was refreshing and the whole vibe was peaceful. A few bugs slipped in through the windows or under the door because of the forest setting, but it didn't ruin the trip.

The lodge sits right next to the Itaúnas reserve, yet it's close to the town square, so you get the best of both worlds. The infinity pool is spectacular, and breakfast is top-notch – especially the tapioca, which was amazing. Rooms are spacious, clean, and the hosts are fantastic, making the stay even better.

The place looks nice, but the management feels amateurish and the attention to detail is lacking. There's no front desk staff to greet guests, rooms aren't cleaned when you return the key, and basic amenities like a luggage rack or toiletries are missing. It's also pricey for what it offers.
