“Excelente y amena”

The service, location, comfort and breakfast were all great. The only downside is that the avenue is a bit busy and there’s some noise at night.

“Mejora de Servicio al Cliente”

The location, price and breakfast were excellent. However, there’s an issue with the customer service. I personally feel they treat foreign tourists better, especially if they’re white. I’ve stayed several times for work in tourism and because of the great location. The breakfast was very good and the restaurant, which operates at night with a solid Japanese menu, is excellent. In my recent visits I’ve felt odd glances and vibes, as if I were a criminal staying overnight at the hotel. Whether the staff is exhausted or simply lacks customer‑service training, I’m a mid‑level tourism entrepreneur with a tourism declaration from ICT, active in seven provinces, and during the cruise season in Puerto Limon, with permits from the Administration of Japdeva and patents, insured by INS, registered with CAJA and Hacienda, technically and realistically, I could stay at an Airbnb in Torres in La Sabana or at the Hilton La Sabana because I have a discount from my ICT tourism declaration. Still, I choose to stay at Columbus for its location and minimal complications. I would still recommend the hotel for its location, price, cleanliness and excellent night‑time restaurant, but I’m just sharing my personal view. In the end, you never know who the people are, so customer service should definitely be unanimous.
