“Horrible”
The price was cheap, but when I arrived to check‑in no one was at the front desk; I waited 10 minutes until a man came, asked if I had been serviced, and I told him no. He called someone on the phone to inform them I was standing there. The room had no towels, the shower didn’t work so I had to wash up standing in the tub with running water, and there was no soap. The pillows were worn, the pillowcases were stained, the comforter was bleached, and the room had an odd smell. I could hear people going in and out of rooms all night because the walls were thin. The shower curtain was nasty, the whole experience was bad, and I felt unsafe.
“It was not a great place to stay.”
The only thing I liked was the location, but even that wasn’t great because GPS led us to the wrong property and they charged me more than quoted. The continental breakfast was absolutely nothing.
My door didn’t shut all the way, so I couldn’t stay inside my room.
“Overpriced for the shape my room was in.”
I liked the cereal and waffles, but the hotel double‑booked my room and I ended up with a single‑bed jacuzzi room instead of two queens. The desk guy told me the single‑bed room was about $30 cheaper than the double I was supposed to get, but the owner would have to refund the $30 to my card. When I arrived four hours later the owner refused to refund the $30 and claimed they were the same price. It was too late to find another hotel and there weren’t many options in that small town, so I stayed. The room might have been recently remodeled; there were no outlet covers on the walls or around the jacuzzi tub, and part of the wall trim was missing. I’m glad I didn’t have a small child with me who might have stuck fingers in an outlet box.
“Tony needs GOOD help.”
Tony was trying very hard to make our stay enjoyable, but seeing him doing everything alone made me wonder how he keeps things running smoothly without help; he needs the right kind of help, not people who won’t carry their load.
