“Shame bout the noise!”

The location by the beach is great, the room is clean and the bed is comfortable, and the staff are friendly and approachable. The ventilation unit from the restaurant right outside the window was so loud we could barely hear each other inside, let alone on the balcony; it ran from 6 am to 10 pm. I was also disappointed that the restaurant closed earlier than advertised.

The guy at the restaurant whose name I didn’t catch was lovely and very accommodating to me and my 2‑year‑old toddler; he prepared both mornings with a “mōrena mam” and I really appreciated that, so thank you to that man at Salt. It wasn’t the right place for a toddler, though. I arrived after a long drive on my own with a grumpy hungry toddler, and the lady who checked me in didn’t smile or even bother to offer me a hand even though it was clear I was exhausted. In the room the fridge wasn’t very cold and had water at the bottom, the bathtub had long strands of hair, and there was no crockery or a microwave to heat the baby’s bottle. I had to order take‑away food because I thought that would be easier, but it would come straight to my room; instead I had to take my toddler downstairs for dinner and then back to the room. The check‑in lady was not friendly; she seemed to judge me, never greeted me when I returned from being out, and didn’t even give a warm smile. Because of this I will not be back.

The beds and pillows were very comfortable, the shower had amazing pressure, and ear plugs were supplied because of the air‑conditioning unit right outside our window. There was no microwave or cutlery.

“Perfect getaway”

The spot is great, the rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean.
