Absolutely nothing good. The place feels like an old basement with moldy walls painted in a faded color. There was a wire coming out of the wall with a power strip; the wire was actually inside the wall, not just a conduit. The host tries to be helpful but doesn’t come across as a tidy person. I understand there might be a workshop on site, but someone else should handle guest reception better. I don’t want to write this review, but it’s not worth staying. The urge to brush my teeth in the sink was so strong that we used the water we brought from the trip.

The host, Mr. Cláudio, made us feel very comfortable; we were very satisfied with everything and will come back soon.

The location is good and Mr. Claudio’s reception was very welcoming; the check‑in and breakfast times were very flexible.

We arrived at night and were greeted warmly at the Casarão lodge; its location is great, the place is clean, and the owner has crafted some wooden furniture, a nice touch. Breakfast is on the upper floor, there’s a small pool, and the view of the city is fantastic. Minas is great!
