“Anders als auf den Bildern”

The accommodation was actually different from the pictures. Around the hotel a full construction site was built, including living containers for the workers. The noise level and the parking situation were consequently poor. I can’t say if this was planned, but there was no personal contact with anyone from the hotel. You enter a code at a shared key station and later return the key there. The rooms looked okay at first glance, but more flaws appeared: the bathroom smelled like urine, the table was covered in a sticky substance, etc. Overall we couldn’t really feel comfortable.

Construction all around. That made parking difficult. Work starts at 5 am on the site. Only foreign workers live there.

“Unpleasant I’m afraid.”

The bed was comfortable and convenient for the station. The hotel was being used as a base for a large number of building contractors. Their cars and a huge crane took up the entire car park. The contractors themselves took over the common areas, garden and check‑in and were almost all smokers. It was impossible to escape the smoke. While in the room, it was not a good idea to have the window open as the room then filled with smoke from those smoking below. Turns out the contractors had rented the entire ground floor of the hotel while they worked on a major project across the road. Fair enough – but this should have been advised to us prior to our arrival. The manager did allow us to park our car at his own property, which helped.

“Besser nicht”

The effort of the host in the chaos on site to meet our needs. Everything was full of construction workers, chaotic conditions on the parking lot, basically no hotel operation. A huge construction site directly in front of the hotel prevented any possibility of relaxation.

Reasonable room. Location in a not very inspiring setting.
