The central location and breakfast are solid, but the rooms lack wardrobes for clothes.

The location is excellent—just a stone’s throw from Tower Bridge, surrounded by many restaurants, and within a few minutes’ walk to the underground, which gets you to any destination quickly. The rooms are well equipped but rather small, with little space for suitcases, yet they’re cozy. The lobby is the highlight, especially for gin lovers.

The entrance and reception was modern and welcoming. It was a good location and close to the underground for travel. Bed was comfortable and liked the full window views (14th floor). There was also a good sized shower that was reasonably powerful. For the amount of money paid the room was a lot smaller and basic than expected, plus the additional cost for breakfast included continental only, which to be fair was fresh and nice, but again because of high cost we expected a choice of full English. In the booking there was a box to say any special notes e.g an occasion, we had added the fact it was our 20th wedding anniversary plus it was my birthday, however there was no mention or anything that would warrant even asking this. Most high end hotels would at least place a chocolate on your bed. There was small kettle in the room but only a couple of basic tea bags etc, no biscuits or wider range. If we’d paid a lot less we would have thought this was a clean, comfortable and good stay, but for the price we expected more
