Overall a good experience: the location is lovely, the room spotless, and breakfast was simply too good—a lovely homemade meal. Definitely recommend to everyone. Nothing else to note.

I experienced truly warm and genuine hospitality! The owner is kind and humble, even offered to pick us up and drive us around without extra charge, which made our stay special. The breakfast was delicious, especially the pol roti and traditional curries. The setting is peaceful, surrounded by nature with a calm misty vibe—ideal for a quiet getaway. I filmed a vlog of our stay and the beautiful surroundings. I greatly appreciated the genuine hospitality, tasty food, and tranquil environment.

The owner and his family are very friendly and helpful; we were greeted with warm tea and cookies upon arrival. He went out of his way to secure last‑minute train tickets to Ella and arranged good seats for us. The room was behind a glass door with a curtain right next to the living‑dining area where guests eat in the morning and evening. The room and especially the bathroom do not match the photos—partly old, broken, and not clean. It can get very cold, but there are enough blankets. To enter the house, you must contact the owners via WhatsApp. The breakfast is typical Sri Lankan simplicity, but it was the worst we had on our trip. We arrived very late on the first evening and accepted the on‑site meal offer, but the price was outrageous: 3000 LKR per person for rice and curry.
