“Estadia Perfeita! Quero voltar!”
The first stay in Barra Grande at Pousada Camaui turned out to be the best experience I could have imagined, thanks to its location on Ponta do Mutá and its direct beach access that made life a lot easier. We stayed on the beach until the magnificent sunset, dined at Obar, the beach club next to the lodge, and returned to Camaui with our spirits renewed. The host, Marcia, a gaucha who fell in love with Barra Grande and stayed there, always greets us with a wide smile each morning and offers a breakfast full of local treats. She embodies the place, is friendly, efficient, and very cheerful. Like every seaside lodge, Pousada Camaui needs some spot maintenance, but this does not interfere with the pleasure of staying there. We will definitely return to Barra Grande for the New Year's Eve. Some parts of the lodge need maintenance attention, but not to the extent that it compromises the stay.
