Upon arrival you step into an oasis of calm and friendliness, with a lovely pool where you can sunbathe, comfortable lounge chairs, and a cozy sofa for drinks. In the early morning you only hear birds chirping and it’s otherwise quiet. Breakfast was overwhelming—everything fresh, with fruit and tomatoes from the own garden. James and Lucy, the owners, really go out of their way to make you feel at home, often answering questions before you even ask. The beautiful vegetable garden next to the property is their pride. This isn’t a commercial operation; it runs on passion and hospitality, and we hope they keep thriving. They’re a model for the B&B sector. Nothing else, just it was a shame we couldn’t stay longer; we had to leave after a week.

Breakfast was excellent, everything was nicely prepared, and it was the perfect start to the day. The location was fantastic, peaceful and relaxing, making it an ideal base for exploring the area and enjoying the charm of France. The host was incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.

“Perfect stay”

We stayed at Maison de Haouret and it was fantastic—more beautiful than the photos, with hosts who were incredibly kind. We came to unwind, and the place delivered exactly that. The pool was clean, spacious, and refreshing, surrounded by great seating spots around the house and garden. The garden itself was lovely, full of veggies and fruit, and the breakfast always featured fresh garden produce. Our room was very large, spotless, and cozy, with a cool interior thanks to a fan that kept the heat from the outside at bay. The guest kitchen was fully equipped, making it easy to cook our own meals. The area is very peaceful, with a supermarket and several restaurants just a 10‑minute drive away. The Pyrenees are about a 2‑hour drive, and there are many charming towns nearby for day trips, offering a nice mix of relaxation and adventure. Breakfast was excellent, and the dinner the hosts prepared was absolutely delicious—we highly recommend trying it. Lucia, James, and Estelle were the best hosts ever—helpful, kind, and fun, always ready to assist, advise, chat, or give us space when needed. Luna and the two kittens added a fun touch to our holiday. We’re eager to return and want to thank Lucia, James, and Estelle again for this wonderful stay. The only downside was that wifi reception in our room was inconsistent; downstairs or outside the wifi worked fine.
