“Beautiful huts and Snorkel spot around the corner”

Raquel and her husband looked after us wonderfully! We struggled to get to Mabini from Batangas because it was late and the jeepneys were gone, but Raquel helped and even opened the kitchen for us to cook dinner. They also upgraded our room because Raquel anticipated our needs.

The owners are incredibly friendly and do everything they can to make the stay pleasant; being the only guest, they even upgraded me. The cabins are a nice change from hotel rooms, and there are three shared bathrooms. Snorkeling is just a five‑minute walk away, though there’s no beach—just an old staircase leading down. Security is minimal, so you leave your valuables at your own risk. I saw fish right at the edge and even a sea turtle; the owners rent out masks and snorkels. The only real activity is snorkeling, since all sea accesses are blocked by dive hotels and there’s no beach. The lodging offers meals at very reasonable prices, serving tasty homemade local cuisine, beer, and generous mango ice cream.
