“We didn’t end up staying due to disgusting conditions”

There isn’t much to say about that. The property was filthy, unvacuumed and covered in hair. We asked if the room could be cleaned after we left and returned an hour later, but nothing changed, so we left because it was getting late and we couldn’t stay in a dirty room. The facilities also closed an hour earlier than the “important information” said, so we were sent out before our stay.

“Unjustifiably pretentious and self-important, business travellers beware”

The location is convenient. The room was shabby and musty, the bathroom door was rotting, the carpet had stains, and there was no air conditioning. The restaurant menu listed no prices, only extra charges without showing the base price, so we gave up and drove into town at 9 pm just to get food.

Our room was divine. The Italian waiter was amazing, attentive and helpful. Nothing else to add.

“Cheap, but not up to the expected standard for a spa hotel”

It is tired, dated & very much in need of refurbishment. Compared to many hotels in the area with spa facilities, this looked its age & felt like a public swimming pool with some extra bubbles. The steam rooms are located in the separate men’s & women’s changing rooms so a couple cannot experience that together. The sauna fits 4 people at a squeeze. The twin beds were squeaky & very uncomfortable. My friends bed had a deep dip in the centre. Guest experience manager was helpful when we provided feedback. We had booked last minute & did not pay much for the single night we stayed (in fact we were given a full refund) but with other options available locally I would not return. We witnessed other people at reception having to make complaints about their stay
