I wasn’t thrilled with the overall experience; the bubbles tasted almost identical, making it hard to pick one. The communal areas were pleasant, but after booking we were told we’d need to pay 30 JOD to be taken to the site, and the pin wasn’t given until a few hours before arrival. The location is only a 5‑minute walk from the highway, so that extra fee felt like an extortionate hidden cost. When we left, no one was available to escort us, so it was a bit inconvenient. The fee could be applied toward the jeep tour, which pushed us into taking it, even though we’d rather have shopped around. The guide was friendly and punctual. The room wasn’t spotless; a few dirty spots could have been cleaned, and we found several hairs on the bedsheet, which was disgusting. The manager said they could wash it, but I doubt so many hairs would remain after a wash, and the staff didn’t notice when making the bed. The worker who changed the sheets didn’t remove his shoes, even though we asked, especially with the sand outside. Breakfast was very basic, and when we tried to check out and load luggage, the staff didn’t really try to help, though I understand the language barrier. Overall, I’m not sure if this is typical for other camps; it isn’t a scam per se, but there are hidden costs and it could be cleaner. I wouldn’t return, though I do appreciate the pretty and clean lounge and walkways.
