The Art‑deco building is magnificent, designed by a very famous American architectural firm in the early 20th century, and it was restored by another beautiful American firm. The rooms are all very successful; the only drawbacks are the cold, Chinese‑style lobby, the bar, and the complete lack of life on the ground floor except during breakfast.
