We loved staying here; it sits right across from the train station and the Peña Palace bus stop and is a short walk to the city center’s many restaurants. The room was spotless and tastefully decorated, and despite the proximity to the station, it stayed quiet—no train noises at all. The bathrooms are located across the hall from the rooms. A comfortable common area offers a sofa and armchair. Owner Maria was very sweet, and we felt like royalty thanks to the lavish breakfast she prepared, which was dazzling and luxurious—granola, a variety of breads, yogurt, tea, coffee, meats, cheeses, pastel de nata, and a touch of mint to finish. We could also leave our bags there after checkout. The only downside was that the hotel was hard to locate; we spent time searching even though we knew it was near the hamburger restaurant. It’s down a flight of stairs and the sign is hard to see, and to check in you must go down an additional flight to the door with the welcome sign.

The host is kind, and the train station is directly across from the hotel, but the bathroom and toilet are outside the room.
