Yesica and her family were super friendly and made us feel welcome right away. The only drawback was the air‑conditioning; it barely cooled the room.

The hotel sits in a quiet area a bit outside El Soberbio, which was a nice break from the hustle. Staff were friendly, the food was excellent, the room was huge and the pool clean and attractive. Breakfast was a bit skimpy and the bathroom could have used more light.

The view is stunning and the space is big, clean and comfortable – everything you need to unwind, plus the meals were really tasty and the building, though showing its age, sits in a dreamlike landscape. Unfortunately the management was practically absent: during my two‑night stay we first had no hot water, then no water at all in the room, and later a power cut that lasted almost twenty hours, with the generator not working.

I loved the peace and silence here – the décor matches the surroundings, the staff (Ramón, Eli, the waiter and Paula) were always ready to help, and the homemade, locally‑sourced food was delicious; even when the power went out for hours the generator kept things bearable and there were hardly any insects.
