I loved the location—there’s a buzz but it stays very quiet. Morrisons and a petrol station are nearby, and a Lidl is set to open soon. It’s only 7 minutes from Druridge Bay by car. When I asked for extra pillows, they arrived promptly. The only issue was a major problem that the head office eventually acknowledged and listened to, but a fridge would still be welcome.

The location and rooms are superb. Dining at the restaurant was amazing, and the staff were friendly, particularly the young girl who worked the tables. The downside was that the doors to the outdoor areas were constantly left open to keep an eye on children, which made meal times very cold.

Everyone on the team was polite and helpful, especially the young blond guy behind the bar. The fish and chips were excellent.

Breakfast was decent, and the hotel sits on an industrial estate that’s quiet at night. The sausages weren’t very good, and the beds were not very comfortable.
