Our stay was very brief, but the owner was amazing and looked after us well, though the place feels quite dated, which I think gives it character.

The spot was very quiet and just two steps from Stonehenge; the owner was very attentive and charming, but the garden looked a bit neglected, though given the drought nothing to complain about.

The Mill House feels like stepping back to the 1920s with modern comforts, full of old family photos and quirky ornaments, and its quiet location is great for driving to Salisbury and the countryside; Michael, the owner, is sweet, interesting, and offers old‑style hospitality that’s rare, so I’d definitely return, though the entrance is hard to find on the bend and better signage would help.

We had a very pleasant stay in the owner’s home, filled with photos and memories of Wiltshire village life; Michael was friendly and knowledgeable, breakfasts were excellent, and the quiet house and garden were relaxing and convenient for exploring Stonehenge and the chalk Downs.
