I loved the sea‑front location, but the hotel was freezing, the room was super cold and I was shivering; it wasn’t very clean, though the dirt wasn’t too bad. The cold was a problem for my epi pens, so I need a warmer place. The manager was rarely around, making it awkward when I needed him. A bed bug crawled on me at night and left a stain on the duvet cover he gave me.

There was no reading light or hanging space, and too many locks made entering the building a hassle. The floorboards squeaked, the TV remote broke and wasn’t fixed before I checked out, and the multi‑socket for the TV, kettle and a single empty socket for charging devices was wonky. I had to request the Wi‑Fi code, and it wasn’t made clear at booking that they would charge £10 a day for parking.

The owner was friendly and the location was great. The room was clean, had tea/coffee and a private bathroom with soap. The bathroom and building could use a small upgrade, and parking cost £10, which was a bit pricey.

The owner was very welcoming and friendly, going above and beyond to ensure a great stay. The floor was soft to walk on, the bed was comfy, and the bathroom was private; I couldn’t fault anything. I even made new friends at the bar. The price was reasonable, and we’ll definitely stay again.

The room was clean and easy to locate, but the shower pressure kept cutting out, and a bad draft from under the door blew through the wardrobe, banging the doors and making it hard to sleep.
