“Breakfast was very good but the spacious accommodation needs some upgrades.”
The generous breakfast was very good. The location was convenient, including being close to a city bus stop and good restaurants. There was interesting artwork on the walls. The apartment was spacious and the floors were very clean. It was quiet at night, and the shutters kept the bedroom dark for sleeping. There was an extra sink in the bathroom for doing some hand laundry that had good water pressure and very hot water, but it had no stopper, and we did not see any drying rack to use, other than the towel hanging hooks. The hosts kindly let us leave our luggage there while we explored the town on our last morning.
Lighting in the bedroom was totally inadequate. Water pressure in the sink and shower was very low, and the metal parts of the shower stall were badly rusted. Not a good place for people with allergies, as the sitting room had shelves full of hundreds of books, some very old, that made the air somewhat musty. The air‑conditioning system did not maintain a chosen temperature, and the remote control was so dim you could hardly read it. The electric kettle and its handle get so hot that it is easy to burn oneself. WiFi did not work well unless you sat very near to the door of the apartment. The wardrobe was full of extra blankets, leaving not much space to hang one's clothes. More photos of the rooms and the bathroom would have been helpful.
