We loved it. Viviane is an amazing host, everything was perfect—from the hearty breakfast to the comfortable room and beautiful décor. The on‑site restaurant’s pasta dishes were incredible.
The location in the city is great. The price feels a bit high for a guest house.

The property is in a great spot inside the walls and close to external parking, making it easy to load and unload luggage. The host also gives a parking pass. Breakfast is good. A special shout‑out to the PastaBar waiters: they speak English, were very kind and extremely helpful; without them we wouldn’t have been able to communicate with the host when we needed assistance. The room: the “Marcel” room doesn’t match the photos. The furnishings are outdated, poorly organized, and have several malfunctions—the shower head is full of limescale and the water flow is weak, the sink sprays everywhere, and the bathroom layout forces you to go through the shower to reach the toilet. The bathroom is dark and the tiny fan, covered in cobwebs, is completely inadequate. Cleaning is very superficial: we found dust, dead flies, and many cobwebs in corners, on the ceiling, and behind curtains. There are no window screens. The welcome and communication: the host (Viviane) was not very courteous, especially to us who don’t speak French. She doesn’t speak a word of English (or refuses to) and makes no effort to accommodate us: she kept answering our questions stubbornly in French. This caused major discomfort even for breakfast, as she decided the menu and timing on her own. We constantly felt like a nuisance; she also talked badly about us or mocked us in front of staff, assuming we didn’t understand. Assistance and flexibility: the host is unreachable outside breakfast hours. One evening we lost the room key before a booked dinner: the host was absent and the property had no spare key. We only resolved it thanks to the amazing help from the PastaBar staff. Finally, there is no flexibility: breakfast is served only from 9:00 to 10:00. When we asked (through the waiters, given the host’s absence) to move it up by just 15 minutes for personal reasons, the next morning the host complained loudly with gestures, despite the advance notice.
