The location was great, rooms were clean, and the staff were helpful. On the day we stayed, the adjacent hotel had a karaoke session with loud music that ran until almost midnight, making it impossible to sleep; I had to stay in the nearby hotel to listen to the karaoke. Breakfast was rushed and I missed it by 4 am.

The staff were absolutely fantastic, helping with scooter rentals, taxis, and more because nothing like that is available in the area. The place was clean and the grounds were beautiful. Breakfast was huge, and the location was right on the beach. It was a perfect stay, but if you’re hunting for nightlife in bars, Chao Samran won’t satisfy that.

The detached house was lovely, surrounded by a gorgeous garden, and the pool offered a sea view. Manager Ann was very helpful and spoke good English (and a bit of Dutch). The resort was very quiet because there were no other guests, and we had the last bungalow, yet when we arrived there were still 20 empty ones—great! The staff, however, didn’t speak any English except for the manager, so every question had to go through her. There was no shade on the beach, but that’s beyond the resort’s control.
