I enjoyed the view and the quietness, but there was no air conditioning. On hot days it was better outside than inside the house.

“delightful small town”

The view was beautiful and the location was quiet, but it was very hard to locate the place. It felt more like an Airbnb than a hotel, with no on‑site staff except the people who checked us in.

“Geweldig douro vallei uitzicht”

Mooi Uitzicht. De trein rijdt letterlijk naast het huis. (1x/uur) Sommigemensen zouden dat als minpuntjebeschouwen, maar wij hadden persoonlijk totaal geen last van. De kinderen vonden het fantastisch om te zien en soms naar de passagiers te zwaaien. Uniek. Onvoldoende keuken benodigdheden

“Le lieu pourrait être exceptionnel avec plus de propreté”

The view from the room was incredible, and the terrace offered a great view with many fruit trees. The place seemed to have been closed or uncleaned for a long time: there were spider webs, dirty dishes with a strong stale smell, dusty floors, a non‑functional microwave, an empty pool upon arrival, and a train passing right behind the terrace all day and night, with tracks under construction. Also, the access to the tracks is not protected at all, so it’s not recommended for families with curious children.

“Um lugar mágico!”

The house is charming and the view is wonderful! 🤩😁 The only thing missing for perfection would be a pool.
