We stayed here for the second time and it was very good again. The hotel has its own parking and now offers food, though we never ate there, but it’s a friendly place to stay. The only drawback was that I should have asked about a lower‑floor room; my husband struggled with the stairs and I had a little trouble too. That’s the only downside, especially since we were in the same room as before. Two comfortable chairs in the room would be a nice addition.

I spent a single night in a charming little town, and the spot was spot-on for hitting the seaside; we brought our dogs, enjoyed a lovely dinner, and had a great breakfast that set us up nicely for the day, with staff who were very welcoming and helpful – definitely coming back here again 😀

The location and size of the property were good, but the bathroom had a mouldy smell and still showed holes from the renovation, plus there were stains on the floor by the shower.

We were close to everything we needed, had tea and coffee in the room, the room was large with new carpet, complimentary toiletries, towels, a bath and shower, free parking, and the staff were friendly on arrival; the heavy‑duty curtains were nice. However, the staircase was grubby and tired, the doors to the rooms slammed loudly (soft closing would help), the big bay window had a rotten frame and cracked glass, gauze was draped around the bed post, the furniture was a mix of old and modern pieces, and there was no breakfast option.

The welcome and sign‑in were excellent and the free parking was easy; the room decor was lovely and the price was great. We booked breakfast at an extra cost, and it had good quality ingredients and was very tasty. The mattresses were old and you could feel the springs, there was a large water stain on the ceiling that was a shame since the room was otherwise lovely, and the shower temperature kept fluctuating between hot and cold.
