The location was great, the hosts were welcoming, and the pub itself felt cozy, but my room needed some TLC; a halogen light outside my window shone on the curtains, the room looked tired, and the bedding seemed unwashed—especially the pillow, which had a stale smell from previous guests.

I had a lovely, comfortable stay and will come back; the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the room was very clean and comfortable—couldn't ask for more.

The bed was comfy, the sheets smelled divine, and the staff were really friendly; even though they were busy, they found us a table and we had a delicious dinner that was great value, and we woke up to a beautiful sunrise from our window—nothing to complain about.

The room was lovely, with a comfy bed and good size, and the staff were pleasant in a nice area, but it was above an extractor fan from the kitchen that was really noisy; it ruined the experience for me because it was so loud—I came to the Lakes for peace and quiet and got the opposite, so despite everything else being lovely, I probably wouldn't return.

Absolutely Amazing location and fantastic pub and the food was fantastic. Been woken up every 15 minutes by a cooling fan outside of Room 5 didn’t get a full hours sleep all night and £125 without breakfast seemed steep
