It’s in the heart of the tourist area.

The spot was spot-on—just a stone’s throw from the riverwalk, with plenty of food, drinks, and entertainment. Valet parking is a bit steep, but public parking is nearby if you’d rather use it.

The location was clean, but the breakfast didn’t meet our expectations and needed more variety.

Breakfast was great overall, though a few items were a touch cold because the chafing dishes lacked sternos, yet the French toast, muffins, and coffee still tasted good, and I even enjoyed the chicken "sausage" even though my husband, a sausage connoisseur, declined it. The hostess was friendly and accommodating, and I appreciated that breakfast ran from 7‑10, so I didn’t have to rise at 6 am; there was still plenty of food and seating at 8:30. The bed was very comfortable, though the pillows weren’t as good as those at other places we’ve stayed, but still fine. The reading chair and desk chair were both very comfortable, and the bathroom lighting was nice. I liked the shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner provided even though I usually bring my own. The little kitchenette and the closet/safe were perfect for a multi‑day stay. The cooked portion of breakfast could have been hotter, but it was still good. There was no parking, and we drive a large truck so leaving it with a valet to try to park in a garage wasn’t an option; we parked at the Rand, which was very tight but not too expensive. It would have been useful to have maps of nearby amenities, restaurants, Riverwalk attractions, etc. at the front desk area; we didn’t see them or were offered them, and we didn’t specifically ask. Walking to the Riverwalk, we ended up in a desolate spot of the waterway that seemed a little sketchy, and we spent a lot of time in the heat trying to locate the restaurants.
