The location was great, just a 5‑minute drive to Kirkjufell, letting us get there at dawn. The apartment was spacious and fairly well equipped, so we could do some simple cooking. We couldn’t use the portable stove—it was either faulty or we needed instructions to operate it. A washing machine would have been a nice addition.

The spot is great, right next to the church hill, with amazing scenery; we even caught a glimpse of the aurora, which would have been even better if the weather had been nicer.

The communal dining area has great facilities and the windows offer beautiful views. The downside is that you have to carry your luggage up and down to a high floor.

I stayed in a private apartment at this hostel; it was very comfortable and well equipped. The location is stunning, with sunset views over Monte Kirkjufell, and the value for money is excellent.
