It suited our needs well, but the little stove didn’t work for us, so we had to use an electric frypan to cook breakfasts.

The accommodation was basic yet clean and tidy, and the lodge staff were genuinely helpful, doing everything they could to keep guests happy; walking distance to one of the island’s best cafés, which stays open in the evening for drinks and dinner, was a bonus, and the airport pick‑up was appreciated; they also offer Wi‑Fi.

The hosts are extremely welcoming and helpful, resolving issues quickly despite Aitutaki’s remote location where repairs naturally take time; the lodges were originally well designed, offering plenty of indoor and outdoor space, lovely gardens maintained daily, and very reasonable prices, giving the property great potential. However, the properties haven’t been modernised; the kitchen feels outdated with a slow electric hot plate, mini‑oven, aluminium cookware, and plastic kettle—adding a microwave, induction or fast cooktop, stainless steel kettle, or electric frying pan would ease cooking; also, despite ample space, there’s a lack of storage such as wall hooks for clothes, bags, or keys, so a bit of modernisation would make a huge difference.

Nice garden setting, scooter arranged immediately upon request, one restaurant nearby, and airport pick‑up worked fine.
